Where to start

Ask the AI assistant. It knows the structure of the framework and its documentation, and answers most questions immediately — usually faster than you would find the right page yourself. Administrators also have it at hand inside the portal, in the help section.

If you need continuous text, open Help and documentation. The guides are organized by what you are working on: first steps in applications, application design, scripting and application logic, printing and outputs, operation and infrastructure, integration and services.

If you are connecting your own AI agent to an instance, go straight to Connecting an AI tool to the MCP server. The setup takes a few minutes and it is the shortest path to an agent working over your data and over the model of your implementation.

An AI assistant over the framework documentation

The assistant works over the platform documentation and its conventions, not over general knowledge from the internet. It understands application groups, applications, edit forms and view pages, so it answers in the same terms your solution is built from.

Connect your own AI agent to the built-in MCP server of your instance and it also gets the data and the model of your specific implementation — this is described on the AI agents page.

Help and guides

The documentation covers the core principles of the platform, working with applications and data, user management, permissions and security, and advanced framework features and application logic. It is maintained continuously along with the platform, not published as an occasional add-on.

Besides the written material we also record videos — you will find them on our YouTube channel.

Documentation for AI agents

Every instance includes a built-in MCP server you connect your own assistant to. Three guides follow on from each other in this order:

A custom API over the data of an instance is described in the API guide.

Installation and operation

If you run full NET Genium on your own server, start with Installing NET Genium on the web server — it covers the server environment requirements and the whole installation procedure. Changes in individual core versions are listed on the Key updates page, and the scope of the service in the NET Genium Update terms of service.

In NET Genium Online there is nothing to install — operation, backups and core updates are on our side.

When the documentation is not enough

If you find no answer in the guides or from the assistant, write to us. How to ask for help and what to include in your message is described on the Support page.
