When declaring items for individual customs declarations, the TARIC Picker control element is used, which allows declarants to search for the numerical code of the declared goods. The individual numerical codes are part of the TARIC code, which is used for declaration activities in the countries of the European Union and are therefore recognized by customs authorities across Europe, which facilitates communication between different countries. In the NET Genium CD system, the TARIC codebook is updated every day directly from the website of the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic (https://www.celnisprava.cz/en/applications/Pages/taric-cz.aspx).

TARIC structure

The TARIC dial itself offers several levels of selection. At the highest level are the so-called classes, the number of which is equal to the number 21. The classes are further divided into chapters. Each class has a different number of chapters. Individual chapters can be further divided into sub-chapters. The lowest level of the TARIC codebook is individual numbers and descriptions of specific goods.

Searching in TARIC

TARIC Picker can also be searched by two categories - item number and item description. Searching by item number is done by sub-chapter numbers. For example, if the number "120" is entered in the search field, the application will return all results starting with the number 120.

In the second case, the search is based on the text of the sub-chapter. For example, entering the word "motorcycle" will search all subsections containing that word.
